What we are learning this term

We have a busy term ahead and our topic during the spring term will be Marvellous Machines.  The children will explore different types of texts linking to this topic during their English lessons.  Through this topic the children will learn about the history of transport.  In science, Poppy class will be learning about the properties of materials and the materials used to make cars.  As historians, the children will learn about and explore the work of Isambard Kingdom Brunel.  We will also design, make and evaluate our own model cars during DT.  In RE, we will learn about different parables and the lessons they teach us.  After Easter our topic will be The Quest, which will include learning about castles and brave knights.
